About Us

Meet Dr. Cedillo

Dr. Mario Cedillo is a board-certified Vascular & Interventional Radiologist. He specializes in endovascular (minimally invasive) treatment options for a variety of conditions. He has extensive experience and training in advanced embolization techniques for the treatment of knee arthritis (genicular artery embolization), benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostatic artery embolization), uterine fibroids (uterine artery embolization), and multiple types of liver tumors (chemoembolization and radioembolization).

As a native of Southern California, Dr. Cedillo grew up in Palmdale. He obtained his undergraduate degree at UCLA. Upon graduation, he was awarded the NIH Intramural Training and Education (IRTA) research fellowship, allowing him to spend two years performing full time cancer research with some of the leading scientists in the world at the NIH. Dr. Cedillo attended medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College. He stayed in New York City to complete his internship in General Surgery at the New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center followed by a residency in Radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Cedillo also completed his Vascular & Interventional Radiology training at Mount Sinai Hospital, considered one of the top programs in the world for Vascular & Interventional Radiology training. He subsequently worked as an Associate Professor at the New York University (NYU) Langone Health System Department of Vascular & Interventional Radiology prior to relocating back to Los Angeles.

Dr. Cedillo is a fluent Spanish speaker. He is an active leader in medical research, having authored over 30 scientific manuscripts in various prestigious medical journals such as Radiology and Nature Medicine. 

Aside from Dr. Cedillo’s expansive accolades, he is most excited to join the team at Alliance Vascular, allowing him to return home to serve his community.
